Sri A.M.Kandaswami - an eminent industrialist by profession and philanthropist by actions founded Ponmudi Muthusamy Gounder Trust with the noble cause of educating the society by providing quality education in the memory of his beloved father and birth place. The thoughtful attitude paved the way for creation of Nyruthi Higher Secondary School at Tiruppur during the year 1998. Later in the year 2001 and 2007, Sasurie College of Engineering and Sasurie Academy of Engineering have been established respectively. Both the institutions are approved AICTE and affiliated to Anna University Coimbatore
